Eric Boadella is a director and writer from Barcelona, Spain, currently based in Los Angeles. He is being recognized internationally for his first feature film, TOASTMASTER. A genuine comedy about Uncle Kapriel’s struggle to keep his family tradition alive. Written and directed by Eric, the film successfully premiered at the 17th Malaga Spanish Film Festival - ZonaZine, winning three silver Biznaga awards: Best Director, Best Script and the Canal + special award. While showing his first feature work to the world, Eric is already developing his second feature film project.
Additional credits include three experimental 16mm short films: THE ROOF GARDENER, BANAT and THE NEW YOU. Numerous Music videos, including the award-wining THE BAGS, Eric’s first collaboration with the Spanish indie-rock band Me and The Bees. And a series of surprising Super-8mm music-short film series, like the SERGE LE BONOBO, for which Eric was in the best local filmmaker selection in the 2011 San Francisco Firewall of Sound.
